In supermarkets or grocery stores, open display fridge has been widely used for grab &go, drinks display & fruit and vegetable storage, no matter remote or plug in type. Do you know what can we do to get a good application for open display fridges? Here are several tips for you.

The working principle for open display fridge is to build an air curtain between cabinet inside and outside. This air curtain can block hot air outside and keep cool air inside of the case.

So any factors which might break the air flow would definitely affect the application of open display case, thus not allowed.

1. Cabinet Position:

Never be placed in direct sunlight

Never be placed near the heat sources

Never be placed near the doorway

Never be placed in the area that air conditioning blows straight

2.100mm gap

The cabinet should be located in such a manner that air will freely circulate the evaporative tray and back of the case to avoid the formation of condensation. A gap of 100mm needs to be maintained to the back of the display case for a heat exhaust vent.

3. Never stack products too tightly

Products stacked too tightly will NOT allow air flow around the product or case and will cause problems.

4. Never block air grille

Air return grille remains clear, blocking the grille will cause problems.

Failure to enable cold air to circulate as designed can lead to improper product temperature and also effects the operation of the case.

5. Pull down night curtain

Pull down night curtain at night to save electricity and let the storage items under a constant temperature state.

 

6. To add shelf edge deflector to get better temperature and energy-saving.
